Allan Gutheim is a classically trained Swedish avant-electronic composer, with 15 years of study in Piano, Music theory and Composition. Gutheim has written music for films, theaters, ballets, art exhibitions and multimedia productions. He has also written books about music theory and the music industry. During the 70s and 80s Gutheim was active at EMS – a professional studio for electroacoustic music and sound art in Stockholm. By the end of the 80s he built his own studio. He founded Allan Gutheim Music Production, from 1994 called Real Time Music; a company for music production and music education service. In the 80s and 90s Gutheim was the main teacher in Music theory and Digital music production at Kulturama (a school for artistic studies at the post-secondary level in Stockholm). In 2013, Gutheim teamed up with the collaborative art duo Unda Arte. This resulted in Postmodern Substrata, an exhibition and art portfolio, with art and texts by Unda Arte and music by Gutheim. The portfolio was the first ever release on The Sublunar Society. Postmodern Substrata was followed up in 2014 with Axiomatic and Evolution. In 2015, Gutheim came up with three more pop-orientated albums, i.e. Stereo, Digital Audio and Studio. In the beginning of 2017 Gutheim's compilation album, Anthology – The Remix Collection, was released. It was followed up by the retro electronic albums Sequencer and Waves. In addition, Gutheim's output includes several singles / remix singles and EPs.
