Odd Goksøyr & The Red Roosters Blues Band artist

Odd Goksøyr (b 1952), author and singer-songwriter from Sunnmøre, has since the 1970s participated in many events in the intersection between poetry and music. His texts examine in particular interpersonal relationships in a characteristically coastal landscape; he tries to balance the darkness towards the light and let the seriousness tangle up with the more comical aspects of life. In addition to this album he has recently published two translated collections of poetry by the American poet Robert Bly, in 2014 "The Night Abraham Called to the Stars" and in 2015 «My Sentence Was a Thousand Years of Joy” at Ura Forlag. The Red Roosters Blues Band The five musicians in The Red Roosters Blues Band have all played in Bokkereidars Blues Band and other projects.
