Technomancer

Technomancer is a one man cyberpop/futurepop project by the Norwegian cyberpunk and video game enthusiast Roy Julian Digre. After spending his youth learning how to play the guitar and making music in Fruity Loops, the Technomancer debut album "De:Harmonized" was released in 2009 on a small Italian netlabel called "Ekleipsi", gathering some attention on the internet, especially from the Russian label "Synthematik" who was releasing their first compilation "Synthematika One". The song "Emulator" was released on the compilation, and Technomancers music was now spreading. He also got to try his hand at some remixes and his remix of C-Drone-Defect's "Mundus Vult Decipi" was released on the limited edition of the album "Dystopia". 2010 was also a good year for Technomancer, with the release of the slightly poppier album "2" on his own label "Technomancer Music". The album spawned several hits, including "Stay With Me", "Musika Technologika" and "The Future". While no big success befell him that year, he did a few more remixes for artists like Fractional and Alpha Point, who in return supplied him with a remix of the track "Doubts And Visions". 2011 was another new beginning, and after releasing the digital single "Electronic Warfare" in late 2010, Technomancer proved that his production skills were getting better and better. The concept album "Mindspace" was released, spawning the hit "Artificial". Telling the story of a man who escapes the government and takes shelter in a massive internet called the Mindspace, the album proved to be Technomancer's biggest project yet. He also took time to work with his friend Max Static on their new collaboration project "Laboratory5", which got a lot of attention on the internet. In late 2011, Technomancer released a tribute to Apoptygma Berzerk, a band that has influenced him a lot. The EP "Starsign" was released for free on his Bandcamp page. 2012 would prove to start out massively for the aspiring artist. Having gotten a good tone with Per Aksel Lundgreen on Facebook, Technomancer was happy to produce a brand new 2012 version of the track "Ødipus Rex", a song which Per Aksel had released in 1992 under his "Angst Pop" project. The 2012 version was released on Dig Music and Emmo.Biz Records later that year and climbed straight to number 5 in the European Alternative Charts! Not a bad achievement for the young aspiring artist. Per Aksel was happy to join Technomancer as a live member, and the two have already started playing songs from the upcoming Technomancer album in live shows, as well as producing remixes for several bands, including Spektralized, Sudeten Creche, Supercraft, TraKKtor, Attrition and Leæther Strip. "Electronic Mind Pulse", the brand new album and the definitive Technomancer record from this Norwegian cyberpunk enthusiast is set for release on the German label Emmo.Biz Records on may 17th 2013, and he is also working with Max Static on yet another Laboratory 5 release... The single "Drift" is from the upcoming "Electronic Mind Pulse" album, and both the album and the single is co-produced by Per Aksel Lundgreen, known from Angst Pop, Cronos Titan, Chinese Detectives and Apoptygma Berzerk. Also, both the single and the album is mastered by Carlos Perón, ex-member and co-founder of famous Swiss supergroup, Yello! Apart from an "Edit Version" and a "Club Mix", the single also includes a brutally danceable version of the classic Planet-P track, "Ruby" and a very industrial remix of another one of the album tracks, "Target", done by Ion Plasma Incineration. Sub Culture Records are proud to present what we predict to be one of the most talented electronic musicians in Norway today, and we also predict that he slowly but surely will be aknowledged and find his name among the credible and hailed stars in the electronic scene. Time will tell! Don't miss out! We told you!
